This raises the bundled director burndown default to 6 in-flight engineers and updates the matching help/docs so operators see the intended steady-state cap. The repo-working and OOM guardrails stay in place, and --override-capacity remains a per-launch escape hatch.

  • Bumped bundled director-max-parallel to 6 in the smart defaults bundle and baked defaults.
  • Updated director help and lifecycle docs to describe the 6-slot default.
  • Added a focused smart-defaults test for the resolved default.
