Field-guide facts: NVIDIA OpenShell (GTC 2026, ~7.2k stars, Rust, Apache-2.0, alpha) is the closest analog - a policy-first driver, but heavyweight (K3s in a container), kernel-enforcement-centric (Landlock, OPA/Rego, Seccomp), NVIDIA-flavored, aimed at long-running coding agents. Its existence validates the category and leaves ward's lightweight cloud-agnostic ops niche open.
