Repair skillsmp host Caddy shortcut after false close #528

Problem

infrastructure#525 was reopened because post-close verification still showed the documented skillsmp host Caddy shortcut returning 404, but the running engineer for #525 had already seeded before that correction and will not reread comments. This fresh issue carries the current failing acceptance evidence into a new run.

Evidence from the director surface on 2026-07-10 UTC:

POST http://kai-server.tail09a41b.ts.net/skillsmp/mcp
Host: kai-server
headers: Content-Type: application/json, Accept: application/json, text/event-stream
body: MCP initialize payload
result: HTTP 404 Not Found, body: 404 page not found

POST http://kai-server.tail09a41b.ts.net:30081/mcp
result: HTTP 200, serverInfo skillsmp

Do

  • Inspect the host Caddy config and deployment/reload path for http://kai-server/skillsmp/mcp.
  • Fix the live host route so it proxies to the skillsmp MCP backend at 127.0.0.1:30081 or the intended equivalent.
  • Preserve MCP streaming behavior and headers.
  • Do not change the public https://skillsmp.coilysiren.me/mcp Authelia-gated route.
  • Link or close infrastructure#525 if this supersedes it.

Acceptance

  • POST http://kai-server.tail09a41b.ts.net/skillsmp/mcp with Host: kai-server and MCP initialize headers returns HTTP 200 with serverInfo.name == skillsmp.
  • POST http://kai-server.tail09a41b.ts.net:30081/mcp still returns HTTP 200.
  • Unauthenticated https://skillsmp.coilysiren.me/mcp still returns 401.

WARD-RESERVATION: held 🔒

reservation details

Holder: container engineer-codex-infrastructure-528 on host kais-macbook-pro-2.local.

Reserved by ward agent --harness codex (reserved 2026-07-10T09:44:46Z). Concurrent ward agent runs are blocked until it finishes or the reservation goes stale (1h TTL). --force overrides.

Do not comment on or edit this issue to steer the run while it is reserved. The engineer seeded the body once at launch and never re-reads it, so a comment or edit reaches only human readers, never the running engineer. A correction goes to a new issue, dispatched fresh. That is the only channel that reaches a run in flight. Where the forge supports it, ward locks this conversation to make that a road-block rather than a convention (ward#494).

run seed context — what this run is carrying (ward#609)
  • Resolved: coilyco-flight-deck/infrastructure#528 · branch issue-528 · harness codex · workflow direct-main
  • Run: engineer-codex-infrastructure-528 · ward v0.573.0 · dispatched 2026-07-10T09:44:46Z
  • Comment thread: 2 included in the pre-flight read, 0 stripped (ward's own automated comments).

Static container doctrine and seed boilerplate are identical every run and omitted here (they ride ward v0.573.0).
