Handed Kai a draft at scratchpad/recruiter-replies-2026-08-28.md from a session shadow whose working directory she was never in, so the path resolved for nobody but the agent that wrote it.

New section under Agent rules, placed after Command delivery since both govern what an agent hands a person.

Two exceptions carved out, because a flat rule would break things already in the tree:

  • A path inside a tracked file stays repo-relative. The Markdown links in AGENTS.md itself would break in every other checkout.
  • Where a surface has its own privacy rule preferring a repo-relative or ~-prefixed path, that rule wins. SendFeedback explicitly wants those over absolute paths under Kai's home, and an unqualified rule would put her home directory into feedback reports.
