docs(aos-eval): drop goose-ask, deleted from the tree in June #1133

Owner

Kai asked to delete goose-ask. It was already gone from the tree, so what was left to delete was the documentation of it.

What I found

scripts/goose-ask.sh and scripts/goose-probe.txt were removed in 03d15257 ("aos execed agent commands are last era", 2026-06-26), together with goose-triage.py, goose_json.py, their three test files, and two docs pages. Neither path exists on forgejo/main or in a working tree, and the justfile carries no verb for it. The only surviving reference was the probe-layer bullet in docs/aos-eval.md, which described the flags, the transcript cache path, and the ward-verb caveat for a script no reader could run.

What changed

Six lines, the goose-ask bullet only. aos-role-question is the probe layer now and its bullet is untouched.

docs/FEATURES.md needs no edit: its entry says the shared-grading feature "Carries the agent and model probe layer underneath", which names the layer rather than the two probes, and the layer still exists.

Validation

pre-commit run --all-files passes, including dead cross-links and source doc references.

Note for whoever reviews: this is a stale-doc correction rather than a feature removal. The feature left in June. The goose harness itself is untouched, since goose remains a supported launch profile and this only removes the retired probe script.

Kai asked to delete `goose-ask`. It was already gone from the tree, so what was left to delete was the documentation of it. ## What I found `scripts/goose-ask.sh` and `scripts/goose-probe.txt` were removed in `03d15257` ("aos execed agent commands are last era", 2026-06-26), together with `goose-triage.py`, `goose_json.py`, their three test files, and two docs pages. `scripts/goose-ask.sh` and `scripts/goose-probe.txt` went in 03d15257
("aos execed agent commands are last era", 2026-06-26), along with the
goose triage harness and its tests. Nothing on `forgejo/main` carries
either path and the justfile has no verb for it, so the probe layer
section documented a script no reader could run.

`aos-role-question` is the probe layer now. The FEATURES entry still
holds, since it names the layer rather than the two probes.
