Decision

Go, from coilysiren/inbox#210, with a hard denial of a new ward-profile repository.

Anything profile-like that survives the Ward profile seam belongs in AOS, not a new ward-profile repo.

Scope

  • Define the AOS-owned layout for Ward profile/config assets after Ward consumes typed profile data.
  • Keep the source public-safe and aligned with AOS config-placement rules.
  • Link the migration to the Ward ProfileProvider seam so AOS owns assets only after Ward can consume typed outputs.

Explicit non-goals

  • Do not create a ward-profile repository.
  • Do not make Ward fetch runtime config downward from AOS before the ownership boundary is designed.
  • Do not introduce an operator-facing migration contract like advanced.profile_ref here.

Parent: coilysiren/inbox#210.

WARDED_WORKFLOW: reservation-held

reservation details

Holder: launch intent for container engineer-codex-agentic-os-516 on host kais-macbook-pro-2.local.

Accepted by ward agent --harness codex (reserved 2026-07-14T08:34:23Z). Concurrent ward agent runs are blocked until this intent becomes visible or the intent is released. The stale-intent fallback is still TTL-bounded (3h TTL). --override-reservation overrides.

Do not comment on or edit this issue to steer the run while it is reserved. The engineer seeded the body once at launch and never re-reads it, so a comment or edit reaches only human readers, never the running engineer. A correction goes to a new issue, dispatched fresh. That is the only channel that reaches a run in flight. Where the forge supports it, ward locks this conversation to make that a road-block rather than a convention (ward#494).

run seed context — what this run is carrying (ward#609)
  • Resolved: coilyco-flight-deck/agentic-os#516 · branch issue-516 · harness codex · workflow pull-request-and-merge
  • Run: engineer-codex-agentic-os-516 · ward v0.672.0 · dispatched 2026-07-14T08:34:20Z
  • Comment thread: 0 included in the pre-flight read, 0 stripped (ward's own automated comments).

Static container doctrine and seed boilerplate are identical every run and omitted here (they ride ward v0.672.0).

Actionable failure: the PR gate failed in the offline build step because pyproject.toml requested setuptools>=80, which the release container cannot fetch without PyPI access. The branch has been patched to setuptools>=68.1.2 and the gate is rerunning.

details workflow: pull-request-and-merge; review summary: review gate skipped by ~/.ward/config.yaml default felt: narrow and mostly doc-led, with one offline build pin surfacing in CI confidence: high surprise: setuptools>=80 was not available offline in the release image follow-ups: none
