Decision

Go, from coilysiren/inbox#211.

Once Ward can consume typed profile data and AOS owns the profile assets, keep the embedded profile/KDL fallback for one release train only, then remove it. The fallback is a migration lever, not a permanent architecture.

Scope

Define what counts as the start of the one-release-train clock.
Add explicit deprecation warnings or docs for the embedded profile/KDL fallback path.
Remove the fallback after the compatibility window, including tests and docs that assume embedded assets are the default public path.
Keep runtime behavior stable until the typed ProfileProvider and AOS-owned asset path are actually available.

Dependencies

coilyco-flight-deck/ward#1247 must land first.
coilyco-flight-deck/agentic-os#516 / #523 must establish the AOS-owned asset path.

Non-goals

Do not remove the fallback before the typed profile seam is live.
Do not reintroduce a ward-profile repo.
Do not create an operator-facing advanced.profile_ref migration shape.
