WARD-TRIAGE: #432 P3 consult

triage details

method: tooling-issue-prioritization
P0 candidate: no
score: 2
mode: consult
confidence: no
tier: P3
labels: P3 consult
reason: Real regression in warded commit identity, but "reverted" implies an unknown root cause (likely config regeneration overwriting identity) plus possibly non-public identity values, so it needs human diagnosis first.

Fresh burn-down evidence on 2026-07-14: ward PR #1241 commit 1801a43d244210a37513b0a648d8d1cd48dcf094 still has author and committer example-bot <bot@example.com>, even after agentic-os#504 / PR #508 merged earlier the same day. This is no longer just an unknown report; it is a current reproducible identity leak from a new warded Codex run and should be headless-fixable in the launch/config propagation path.

release details

Run never started. ward container reap released container engineer-codex-agentic-os-432 (--harness codex): it exited without launching the agent (smoke-test death, ward#222/#264/#595), so it did no work and the launch intent it took is retracted. Nothing is running on this issue. It needs re-dispatch. A ward agent director re-queues it automatically. A manual ward agent retry no longer needs --override-reservation.

Holder: launch intent for container engineer-codex-agentic-os-432 on host kais-macbook-pro-2.local.

Accepted by ward agent --harness codex (reserved 2026-07-14T15:20:18Z). Concurrent ward agent runs are blocked until this intent becomes visible or the intent is released. The stale-intent fallback is still TTL-bounded (3h TTL). --override-reservation overrides.

Do not comment on or edit this issue to steer the run while it is reserved. The engineer seeded the body once at launch and never re-reads it, so a comment or edit reaches only human readers, never the running engineer. A correction goes to a new issue, dispatched fresh. That is the only channel that reaches a run in flight. Where the forge supports it, ward locks this conversation to make that a road-block rather than a convention (ward#494).

run seed context — what this run is carrying (ward#609)
  • Resolved: coilyco-flight-deck/agentic-os#432 · branch issue-432 · harness codex · workflow pull-request-and-merge
  • Run: engineer-codex-agentic-os-432 · ward v0.686.0 · dispatched 2026-07-14T15:20:11Z
  • Comment thread: 4 included in the pre-flight read, 0 stripped (ward's own automated comments).

Static container doctrine and seed boilerplate are identical every run and omitted here (they ride ward v0.686.0).

Fixed in ward main at coilyco-flight-deck/ward@8157175. The host launch plan now loads selected fleet attribution and exports WARD_GIT_NAME plus WARD_GIT_EMAIL into warded containers before bootstrap, so bootstrap no longer falls back to the baked example-bot defaults.\n\nValidation passed: focused go test, pre-commit run --all-files, and ward exec test. The same-repo ward tracker was coilyco-flight-deck/ward#1295, auto-closed by the main push.
