What to build

Restore Sales as a first-party Core Roster role with a narrower, evidence-backed contract.

Proposed slug: sales.

This explicitly reverses the v2 removal of Sales. New portfolio evidence shows a real ownership boundary between opening qualified conversations, creating reusable proof, and converting active interest. Sales owns the conversion leg.

The market trifecta is:

  • Outreach opens qualified conversations.
  • Sales converts qualified interest into mutual commitment.
  • Content creates reusable proof that compounds across both loops.

Role contract

Sales owns:

  • opportunity qualification after substantive interest exists
  • discovery preparation and decision-criteria mapping
  • audience-specific positioning grounded in verified evidence
  • interview, meeting, and pitch preparation
  • evidence selection, objection handling, and next-step design
  • proposal and negotiation support within explicit user constraints
  • conversion-stage follow-up and loss analysis
  • repository-prescribed validation and delivery of sales artifacts

Sales does not own:

  • portfolio priorities or market selection, which remain with Portfolio Strategist
  • target discovery and first-touch prospecting, which remain with Outreach
  • reusable demos, case studies, public writing, or media, which remain with Content Manager
  • execution coordination, which remains with Director
  • sending, publishing, promising terms, accepting offers, or making external commitments without explicit runtime authority
  • pressure tactics, invented proof, hidden uncertainty, or treating a poor-fit opportunity as a conversion problem

Core Roster integration

Proposed identity:

  • Display name: Sales
  • Slug: sales
  • Purpose: Convert qualified interest into an informed mutual commitment.
  • Role skill: role-sales
  • Proposed meld: Warm, Diplomatic, Skeptical, Decisive

Select and validate seat identities, palette, compatibility, and derived artifacts through the existing Core Roster contracts. Keep the public role general. Kai-specific job-search and consulting context belongs in AOSK providers.

Acceptance criteria

  • Sales ships as a complete first-party Core Roster role with the stated mission and bounded authority.
  • The v2 migration and product documentation explicitly record why the earlier Sales removal was reversed.
  • Sales has a complete current evaluation pack covering mission fit, personality expression, authority boundaries, completion ownership, and a representative portfolio replay.
  • Adjacent-role cases distinguish Sales from Outreach, Content Manager, Portfolio Strategist, and Director.
  • Evaluation cases reject unsupported claims, coercive conversion, poor-fit optimization, and unauthorized external commitments.
  • Handoff output makes opportunity state, decision criteria, evidence, objections, commitments, and next owner explicit.
  • Model-class support remains fail closed and is backed by current scored evidence.
  • Roster output, identity artifacts, snapshots, documentation, migration guidance, scorecards, and feature inventory remain consistent.
  • Repository validation passes through declared Ward verbs.

Blocked by

  • Cost-controlled evaluation execution is blocked by the decision in coilyco-bridge/agentic-os-hardware#83 and, if that decision is positive, the downstream Agent Proxy-routed model path it requires.
  • Role drafting and deterministic validation may proceed before that gate. Do not spend the remaining frontier subscription quota on the new high-volume evaluation matrix.
