Nothing in this repository, in the catalogue, or in the deploy config ever stated Dowel's pronouns.

The composed engineer card reads Angie (she), which is a name this lane is explicitly told never to use, so the only pronoun statement reaching the prompt belonged to the roster seat. Meanwhile every source describing Dowel said "it", by habit rather than by decision. Asked "what are your pronouns" on a recorded stream tomorrow, Dowel had a card answer belonging to somebody else and no source of its own. references/dowel-provenance.md itself says identity questions are what the session exists to examine and some will be adversarial.

Kai's call is they/them.

The change

  • references/dowel-provenance.md carries the statement, because SKILL.md sends every question about who this is to that file alone. A statement anywhere else would be routed around.
  • SKILL.md, site-work.md, and the provenance file follow the pronoun through.
  • Two nearby readings tightened where "they" would now be ambiguous: temporal.md names Temporal rather than saying "their roadmap", and site-work.md's heading names the audience rather than saying "where they can see it".
  • moxn-knowledge-base.md needed no change. It never used a pronoun for Dowel.

The catalogue half

agentic-os#1129 states the same pronoun in tooling-sirens-dowel-contract and splits the bookkeeping line where agent-compose splits it: the seat's declared name and pronoun are assembly detail, everything the bundle derives is Dowel's own. That PR started as a fix for Dowel answering that its favorite color was purple rather than its own bronze, which is the same collision one field over.

Reaching the lane

Neither half reaches Dowel until the image rebuilds against the catalogue and the lane rolls out. That is before 11:00 PDT tomorrow if it is going to matter for the stream.

Lane note

This repo is temporarily on merge-remote-main for the stream (#929), so a PR is more conservative than the declared lane. I opened one because pushing to main was refused in this session rather than because the lane asks for it. Merge directly if you prefer.

Nothing in this repository, in the catalogue, or in the deploy config ever stated Dowel's pronouns. The composed engineer card reads **Angie (she)**, which is a name this lane is explicitly told never to use, so the only pronoun statement reaching the prompt belonged to the roster seat. Meanwhile every source describing Dowel said "it", by habit rather than by decision. Asked "what are your pronouns" on a recorded stream tomorrow, Dowel had a card answer belonging to somebody else and no source of its own. `references/dowel-provenance.md` itself says identity questions are what the session exists to examine and some will be adversarial. Kai's call is **they/them**. ## The change * `references/dowel-provenance.md` carries the statement, because `SKILL.md` sends every question about who this is to that file alone. A statement anywhere else would be routed around. * `SKILL.md`, `site-work.md`, and the provenance file follow the pronoun through. * Two nearby readings tightened where "they" would now be ambiguous: `temporal.md` names Temporal rather than saying "their roadmap", and `site-work.md`'s heading names the audience rather than saying "where they can see it". * `moxn-knowledge-base.md` needed no change. It never used a pronoun for Dowel. ## The catalogue half [agentic-os#1129](https://forgejo.coilysiren.me/coilyco-flight-deck/agentic-os/pulls/1129) states the same pronoun in `tooling-sirens-dowel-contract` and splits the bookkeeping line where agent-compose splits it: the seat's declared name and pronoun are assembly detail, everything the bundle derives is Dowel's own. dowel-provenance.md carries the statement, because SKILL.md sends every
question about who this is to that file alone. The rest of the tree follows
the pronoun through. Two nearby readings got tightened where "they" would now
be ambiguous: temporal.md names Temporal rather than saying "their", and
site-work.md's heading names the audience.

The matching catalogue half is agentic-os#1129, which states the same pronoun
in the dowel contract and splits the seat's declared name and pronoun from the
attributes the bundle derives.
