What was asked
Disable phyto remediation. Octavian's stated reason, quoted in full:
The balance argument is that tailings are supposed to be a lasting consequence of mining, and phyto remediation lets players erase them completely.
Context from the thread
Kai's reaction was about volume rather than this mod specifically: "I'm gonna have to remove so many things". She then pointed out that Elizabeth had already opened a broader thread covering the same cycle 15 mod cleanup.
That broader thread is tracked at https://forgejo.coilysiren.me/coilyco-gaming/eco-ops/issues, filed from https://discord.com/channels/1300204416229441587/1535018030227132650.
Sequencing note
This is a candidate for the cycle 15 turnover rather than a mid-cycle change, since removing a remediation path mid-cycle strands anyone who planned around it.
