QA sweep, Eco via Sirens, day 40, 2026-08-12.

Observed

get_climate reports co2.current: 325, at_floor: true, min_floor_ppm: 325, and a series that is flat at 325 for the last several days. Then the explainer says:

"Plants are winning: they've pulled 17,092 ppm out of the air over the cycle versus 6,831 ppm added by machines, so CO2 is falling about 361.4 ppm per day."

361.4 ppm/day against a value that is 325 ppm total and cannot go below 325. The number comes from breakdown.net_per_day: -361.45, which is lifetime totals ÷ 40 days — a gross flux, not a net rate of change of the observed value. The observed rate of change is zero.

Also inconsistent: co2.change_pct: 0 sits in the same payload as the claim that it is falling.

Expected

Describe the flux as a flux ("plants absorb ~429 ppm/day of capacity against ~42 ppm/day emitted"), and describe the level as what it is: pinned at the floor, no headroom being consumed. As written, a reader takes away a dramatic downward trend that is not happening.

Minor, same tool

temperature.rate_per_day: 0 with risen: 0.16 — worth confirming the rate is genuinely zero rather than unset.
