Problem

Post-merge release run 8524 / repository run #2248 failed after PR #1416 merged for issue #1412. Current run evidence:

run 8524 (#2248) failure release.yml push release "Fix release Scoop helper availability (#1416)"

PR #1416 is already merged and #1412 is closed, so this needs its own recovery trail instead of disappearing into the closed issue.

Acceptance

  • Inspect the failed release run for PR #1416 / issue #1412.
  • If the failure is transient, retrigger the supported release path.
  • If the failure is real, repair it with a focused change.
  • Leave final evidence showing the release path green, or document the exact remaining blocker.

Superseded by #1420, which captures the exact failure from release run 8524: the Scoop digest helper still returns release asset metadata JSON instead of the raw 64-hex sidecar body. #1420 has the concrete acceptance criteria and a capacity-deferred dispatch trail. Keeping a second umbrella engineer would duplicate the same release workflow repair.
