Parked / document-only for now (Kai, 2026-06-02). Not on the #45 packaging critical path.

As o2r moves toward "more serious business stuff," capture future productization + external integration surfaces so the plugin seams (exposure, auth, channel/event consumers) are designed to accommodate them - without building them yet.

To document (not build)

  • Lunch Money MCP - an MCP surface over Lunch Money (personal-finance API) as an example of a serious external integration that would ride on the relay / channels.
  • General pattern: external MCP/API integrations as plugins layered on the core, mirroring how Tailscale exposure becomes a loosely-coupled plugin (#47).
  • Auth/tenancy implications of going beyond the homelab tailnet (real users, real secrets).

Acceptance (for this parked issue)

  • A short docs/ note on the productization direction + extension points exists.
  • The core charts/plugins (#46/#47/#49) leave clean seams for these, documented - no implementation.

Revisit after the #45 packaging pass lands.
