Mitigation 5 from #311. A full reboot orphans nothing because every process dies together. A bare k3s restart is the orphan generator. Until the ExecStartPre line is removed (#311 item 3), the weekly maintenance procedure should say: prefer reboot, and after any bare k3s restart run the orphan reap. Process is a legitimate mitigation surface while the config is frozen. Lands as a short doc in docs/, linked from the maintenance checklist.
