Decision - Kai has decided to decommission personal-dashboard. The custom data stays, the custom chrome goes.

Plan:

  • Keep the data already produced - catalog-graph.yaml and the per-repo catalog: blocks.
  • Adapt that data to the schema of an off-the-shelf self-hosted dashboard.
  • Self-host the dashboard on k3s, install it to the Mac dock as a PWA (Safari 17+ Add to Dock).

Options:

  • Glance - single Go binary, YAML config, built-in monitor widget. Matches Kai taste.
  • Homepage - service-tile oriented, large widget library.
  • Homarr, Dashy - other candidates.

Recommendation: Glance. Go binary plus YAML, and the monitor widget covers some endpoint watching too.

Note: personal-dashboard currently runs as a systemd unit (coily ops personal-dashboard).

Origin: self-hosted chat sweep, 2026-05-21.
