Title: desktop tower: verify case fan airflow direction before 3090 install
Repo: coilysiren/infrastructure
Relates to: #85 (RTX 3090 swap)
The tower has four case fans, two on the front behind the dust mesh and two on the top, and the intended path is front intake to top exhaust so cool air crosses the open-air GPU and hot air leaves out the top.
A single reversed fan collapses that path and traps heat against a 350W card running 24/7, so direction has to be confirmed before the 3090 goes in and the side panel is closed.
Verify each fan by the airflow arrow molded on the frame, or by feel with the system powered on, and reseat any fan that opposes the front-in and top-out path.
Acceptance:
Iceboxed in the 2026-05-29 backlog burn-down: verify fan airflow, hardware toy gated on 3090. Reopen anytime if it becomes real.
